Free Strategy Guide
The Peoples Next Door strategy guide is a free resource for anyone interested in people group discovery and engagement. It is a short, step-by-step guide to developing a strategy in a local church. This tool is good for local churches considering the work or for associations and conventions to use in order to build an area-wide strategy for equipping churches. The resource is brief and discusses broad concepts. For a more detailed description of the work, consider downloading the Peoples Next Door Primer.
Interactive Checklist for Discovery & Engagement
Here is a helpful checklist for those beginning the work of people group discovery and engagement. The checklist is an interactive outline, which means you can pull it up in any browser and work through the ideas step-by-step. The outline is a quick reference guide for developing forms for collecting data, a bank of potential questions to ask when doing people group discovery, and even a few quick thoughts on engagement. PND: Fourfold Panoramic Assessment
How to carefully examine your local church in its mission context. Too often, people attempt to revitalize, plant, or replant a church without a full view of the landscape. Two big categories must be considered in local church assessment: the local church itself, and the context they are attempting to reach. However, even that is not enough. In order to see accurately, it must be done from more than one angle. The following resource provides a snapshot of the examination process for each perspective in the panorama.
In addition to the many downloadable resources, personal consultation for your church, association, or convention is also an option. My desire is to see this kind of work going on all over North America, so I want to make myself available as a resource. Missions strategy is not one-size-fits-all, and the above resources are designed to provide categories so people can personalize their approach to finding and engaging different peoples. Your church or ministry may have specific needs or questions, and that is great. I would be happy to help.
Consultation can be completely personalized to your ministry and may include ministry audits and strategy sessions to help you think through using your current resources and our available materials to equip people for discovery and engagement. The Peoples Next Door project has worked with several conventions, associations, and local churches and has experience serving each of these unique settings. For more information about a consultation, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can work out the details for me to come spend time with your organization and craft a personalized strategy. Several state conventions, associations, and even a number of local churches have already started, and you can too.
